Dress for success as you gather intelligence at the Pentagon. You'll need to look official if you are going to even get in the front door, let alone gain high security clearance.
Send uniforms to your mafia and ask for uniforms from your mafia through Facebook feeds and requests. Each uniform has 3 levels of mastery - bronze, silver, and gold. When you collect enough uniforms to complete mastery, you earn high-powered items to get stronger. See the table below.

Mafia Wars is bringing the Halloween Party to Social Missions. Starting this weekend, a new and exciting mission will be available. Perform these special limited time missions like you do the others but be warned, and try not to be scared these missions are haunted! Work with your mafia and you may end up with some exclusive Halloween themed loot like a Exploding Pumpkin or Supercharged Hearse.  This is a great time to earn your Mission Achievements and pick up as many of the treats as you can. The more Haunted Halloween Missions you participate in, the more Halloween loot you will receive. Haunted Halloween Missions will last all weekend.  Don't get tricked and miss out on all the fun.

To perform jobs in Italy, you need equipment items and energy or stamina.  Equipment items are purchased with Lira on the inventory page.  Unlike Bangkok and Las Vegas, there are no jobs which require currency.  You can save your Lira to craft equipment items in the Village Port property.  In addition to the requirements stated above, many Italian jobs require consumable items.  Consumables are produced by performing specific jobs.  Below are all the consumables you will need to complete Regions 1-5 of Italy and the jobs which produce them.

Are you stuck and can't remember which job makes the consumable item you ran out of?  Fugettaboutit! The Godfather provides a link which takes you directly to the job you need to perform.  Guessing and searching are no longer necessary.  Simply click on the link and start farming Severed Pinkys or any of the other consumables.

Hidden Charges are special because the job which produces them requires the consumable Cooked Book to perform. This is similar to the New York consumable Set of Black Mail Photos which requires Concealable Cameras to perform the job that makes them.

A useful game strategy tip is to make enough consumable items to master the entire Region on the Bronze Level. This will save you great amounts of energy and/or stamina.

We’ve lined up some cool cross promotions coming your way soon. Mafia Wars has teamed up with FarmVille and FrontierVille for our latest release, Italy! When players play FarmVille during the cross promo, they can receive a special notification directing them to Mafia Wars. From there, they’ll have a chance to earn an Italian-themed Limited Edition item after leveling up 3 times and reaching level 8.
For the FrontierVille cross promo, players playing FrontierVille will be able to enter Mafia Wars through a notification where they will work on mastering the job “Find an Old Family Friend” in the Palermo region (District 2). Along the Mediterranean coastline lies a picturesque Italian Village named "My Village".  It can be found by traveling to Italy and utilizing the Property Tab on your Mafia Wars game.  The images are breathtaking and there are many surprises in store. Don't let the beauty of this small seaside village distract you.  There are major crime syndicates waiting for your arrival.  Show them who's in charge and start building your Village.  
The first property you will encounter as you explore Italy is The Port.  Your Level I Port is ready and waiting for you.  Once you claim it, strive to upgrade it to Level X.  The Port is like the Chop Shop, Weapons Depot and Armory Depot of New York but is not specific to any one type of equipment item. There are a total of 10 items that you can craft.  Each item unlocks as you upgrade your Port.  There are four property building parts that randomly drop while performing jobs, fights and robberies.  Use these parts or Reward Points to upgrade and unlock the items that will make your character stronger.





Lira is required to craft the equipment items and no additional building parts are needed.  The items are listed below along with their stats and any character skill boosts.
There are 5 other properties which will unlock as you progress through Italy. These properties will earn you more Lira and Boosts as you upgrade them.  These properties require an additional building item to upgrade.  The unique property building items are acquired by doing specific jobs.

Mafia Wars introduces Italy, a brand new destination that is full of challenges.  A game containing the word mafia would not be complete without an homage to the country where it all began. Italy is in the Beta test phase and will be available to all accounts that have reached Level 5 or higher on October 23rd. There are no other requirements to gain access to Italy. The overall layout and functionality is very similar to Las Vegas but there are a few key differences.

1.  Regions
Italy is divided into Regions and they function like the Districts of Las Vegas.  Only the first 5 Regions will be available and Regions 6-8 will be released at a later date.  Regions will contain Energy, Fighting, and Social paths.

Regions 6-8 will be released at a later time.
 
2.  Currency
The currency used in Italy is called Lira.  There will be no Vault like in Las Vegas and the banking system will be like all the other destinations to include the money laundering fee.  The Italian Satchel of Lira will be available and will function in the same manner as the Envelope of Thai Baht and the Vegas Rack of Chips.  
3.  Jobs
Regions have 2-3 Paths (Energy, Fighting, and Social paths).  All jobs in each Path will have 4 tiers of mastery (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Ruby).  Mastering all Paths of a Region is no longer required to complete a tier.  When you defeat the Region Boss, you automatically advance to the next level of mastery.  You will be able to request help for Social Jobs every 8 hours.  All jobs require a variety of equipment which can be purchased with Lira from the inventory pages.

It is a time of feasting and we have put together a contest in honor of the Thanksgiving season, yet still holds true to the Mafia Wars spirit... Dish it Out!

New bosses, new fights, new rewards - Get ready for the Rumble in Russia fight event! Players will be taking on 4 bosses with the help of their mafia in order to earn a special mastery item.  Each boss requires that the previous boss be defeated before progressing further. You'll need to ask your mafia for help to defeat each boss before time runs out. When your mafia comes to your aid, they'll be able to fight a boss as if they are facing the boss themselves. Those who earn the most damage per boss fight will receive additional rewards!

Make sure you have your strongest gear and weapons in tow - each boss fight will become increasingly tougher as you make your way through the levels. Only after you defeat one boss will you be able to move on to the next. When you play, you'll be rewarded for defeating each boss and earn mastery items along the way, as well as gain well-deserved bragging rights. Defeat all 4 bosses through the gold level and you'll get the Ursa Major, with 60 attack and 115 defense, as your grand prize.
